The house is approximately 1 kilometre from restaurants and grocery stores. It is 3 kms. to Portimao and 2 kms. to Alvor. The delightful beach of Praia da Rocha is 1 km from the accommodation.
The Alto Golf course is just a short 5 minutes walk from the house.
The nearby beach Praia do Alemao nestles between red cliffs with a sandy area. Although not being too wide, it is very well organized with an ordered sun shelter area and also delightful solitary nooks formed by the rocks.
Portimao has a long history as a fishing port. The town, as most of The Algarve, developed greatly in the past few decades as consequence of the tourism flow.
It became a popular destination due to its golden sandy beaches, wonderful climate and calm seas for water sports.
