Your hosts, the Countess and Count of Almada, live in a separate area of the main house.

The word 'Paço' indicates that in the past the King of Portugal has slept in the house although history does not record which room!

A door leads into the sitting room which has a television. Another door leads to private veranda, ideal for taking breakfast looking over the vineyards towards the river Lima in the morning sunshine.

There is a passage which has doors leading off to the small kitchen and the three bedrooms.

Two of the bedrooms have twin beds and one has a double bed and one sleeps three persons in single beds. All the bedrooms have en suite bathroom or shower room facilities except the one for three persons.

The bedroom furniture remains traditional which means that it is not suitable for taller guests.

The driveway from the house leads into the centre of the village of Lanheses where there are cafes, bars and restaurants etc.

For those wishing to eat in the house there is the option of asking a local restaurant to deliver the main course (very reasonably priced - allow one portion for two persons).
