Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mor is located in Ourem/Fatima, approximately an hour and a half away from Lisbon, Portugal's exciting capital city.
It has been in the same family since the 17th Century and has been tastefully converted to receive guests.
More recently, the former estate workers villas have been fully restored and equipped to provide self catering accommodation.

Ourem is a medieval town just 10 kilometers north east of Fatima. This walled citadel is dominated by the 15th Century
Castle. In fact, the whole area is like an open air museum.
Tomar, a few kilometres away is overlooked by a 12th Century Castle and the Convento de Cristo. Both of which are linked
to the Order of the Knights Templars in Portugal.
n 1983 the Templar Castle and the Convent at Tomar were classified as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
Alcobaca has a beautiful Gothic Monastery and the magnificent Monastery in Batalha is in the Manueline style.
The lively fishing town of Nazare which has beautiful sandy beaches and a variety of excellent seafood restaurants is approximately an hours drive from Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mor.
