The property is in the village of Arvore, three kilometres from the Atlantic beaches, and seventeen kilometres from Porto. This vibrant city is the capital of the north, and is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. No visit to this city would be complete without walking along the Cais de Ribeira and across the breathtaking iron bridge to the Port Wine lodges lining the river bank at Gaia, (most lodges offer free tours and tastings).

For those wishing to escape the city, the nearby beaches guarantee peace and quiet, and the little fishing village of Vila do Conde has a pretty medieval quarter worth exploring and a busy Friday market.

There is an adjacent dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast table, gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, etc. A door leads out to the terrace and pool area. There is a laundry room with washing machine etc, and a separate WC.

On the ground floor there is a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, suitable for one adult or two children.

On the first floor there is a master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with jaccuzzi, and a balcony overlooking the pool and garden.

There are an additional two double bedrooms overlooking the garden, and a twin bedded room overlooking the patio. There is a separate bathroom with WC, bath, and shower.

Two cots are available on request.

There is a partially covered terrace for those wishing to avoid the afternoon sun, a barbecue, and tables and chairs for outdoor dining.

There is a table tennis table, football table and a videoplayer for children. There are also five bicycles available for guests (25 Euros per bicycle per week).
